Karen is the first person every client sees at Gallagher, Villeneuve and DeGeer, PLLC. She applies her unparalleled organizational skills, business insight, quick wit, and true caring to every client and case we represent.

As Officer Manager she keeps our business systems and operations running smoothly. She also works directly with our clients, assisting attorneys in the areas of Estate administration, Probate, Corporations, and Real Estate.

Karen joined the firm in 2000, when it was Gallagher and Stein. She and Jim Gallagher share many memories of longstanding clients and interesting cases. She was our Legal Assistant for over sixteen years, serving as the regular point of contact for the firm's client and business partners. After the retirement of Dale Wenners, Karen became our Office Manager and assumed responsibility for the firm's daily administrative and financial operations.

Karen lives in Damariscotta with her husband Dan. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.
